Dawn Broom
Music Associate/Accompanist
Dawn Broom is a lifelong church musician. She is a native North Carolinian, having been born and raised in Union County and is educated via Wingate College (now University) and Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri. Throughout her music ministry “career” of 45 years, she has served as Director of Music, Music Associate, and Accompanist for a number of churches in many denominations in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Missouri.
Dawn is an accomplished musician who plays organ, piano, keyboards, and handbells, and feels her life’s purpose is to lead people to worship the Lord via the corporate worship experience. “I am most fulfilled when I see and hear others use their musical gifts for and lift their voices to the Lord in praise and worship.”
She is married to Mark Morris, her lifelong sweetheart, and together with Teal, their senior Vizsla girl, they live in the Mountain Island Lake area, specifically Shuffletown, in northwest Charlotte. “I’m happy to be joining the Mount Pleasant Methodist family. Thank you for the opportunity to be a co-laborer for Christ with you.
